Traditional Yiddish Songs
On the CD a Spil af Yiddish, singer Mark Aizikovitch interprets Yiddish songs. Mark Aizikovitch grew up in a Ukrainian shtetl, immersed in the Yiddish language and culture. He studied singing and acting, worked in theater, filmed feature movies, and toured the Soviet Union and many other countries with a rock band.
His cultural roots became increasingly significant when he moved to Germany in 1990. There, he began to deeply explore Jewish theater and music. His authenticity and artistic quality, based on a solid education and professional experience, quickly led to great success in concert halls across Germany and beyond. It is a pleasure to experience his masterful command of various artistic expressions.
