CDs of the band Apparatschik

The band Apparatschik combines Eastern melodies from the former Soviet countries with Western beats. Her unique style caught the spirit of the times in Berlin, an important transit point. They created a new genre before the term „world music” became popular, long before the Russian disco wave came. Apparatschik quickly became a cult and toured all over Europe. They wowed their audience with traditional instruments such as the balalaika, the accordion and the bass balalaika, as well as a deep and expressive singing voice.
