Songs by Soviet Jewish poets
Inspired by works of the writer Arno Lustiger on Stalin and the Jews, Mark Aizikovitch has collected songs by Soviet Jewish poets, which bear witness to the life of the Jewish population in the Soviet Union from the thirties through the fifties. These are songs about exclusion and war, but also about love and big Jewish wedding parties. And again and again the songs celebrate the Russian homeland and Jewish culture.
